Since I travel quite a bit and depend a lot on Hertz NeverLost GPS, it was only a matter of time before I looked into one of the many GPS solutions available for the Treo. I asked Mr. Treonaut himself who promptly directed me to his review of the Palm Treo GPS SmartPhone.

This stuff is pretty impressive.

i (and friends) used gps in car once when i travelled to france... not with treo, but lifedrive - but its the same idea anyway. we used tomtom6. everything went smothly, we crossed whole germany with it and gps was big help on their highways. but as soon as we crossed french borders lifedrive died because of exhausted battery and we had to buy map and continue like in old times. so gpsing is perfect thing - if you have strong batteries. btw error was that this recharger which we thought is recharging lifedrive from car battery was broken - control light was on, but no power went to cable... lets hope another attempt (next summer?) will be more succesful :-)
