All the workhorse laptops I have owned have been at least 9 lb. So, with the announcement of the Dell XPS M1330 a while back, I was intrigued at being able to get a powerful laptop at only 4 lbs. I was very impressed with the configuration options on Dell’s site allowing me to customize it to the high end of performance, which when all said and done cost me about $3,100. The results have been outstanding, allow smooth multi tasking on graphic intensive applications.
The only minor downside is that for the kind of work I do, a large screen sometimes is needed, thus connecting this laptop to one of Dell’s 24 inch and up monitors makes an excellent solution. If you are looking for a light but powerful laptop, the 1330 might just be the answer.

I have just had my second Dell. Thinking by spending £1500 this time I'd
would get someting really good. It's OK but that is about all. The keyboard
didn't light up when it came as per spec, so they sent a replacement part
which my IT guy fitted.
There are other issues but all Dell say arrgogantly is 'they don't supply faulty goods'
Now they ignore my emails.
